Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: 30 March 2026  ·  All bookings at RUEMA Cafe & Event Space are subject to the terms below.

1. Deposit Policy

A 50% non-refundable deposit of the total event package price is required to confirm and secure your booking date. This deposit is collected at the time of booking confirmation and covers administrative and reservation costs. The deposit is strictly non-refundable regardless of the reason for cancellation.

2. Remaining Balance

The remaining balance (50% of the total package price) must be settled in full at least 7 days before the event date. Failure to complete payment by this deadline may result in the cancellation of your booking without a refund of the deposit.

3. Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your booking, the following terms apply based on the notice period given before the event date:

The deposit (50% of total package price) is non-refundable in all cases.

4. Rescheduling

Rescheduling of your event is permitted at no additional cost provided the request is made at least 60 days before the original event date and the new date is subject to availability. Rescheduling requests made within 60 days of the event may incur an administrative fee. Each booking is eligible for one (1) complimentary reschedule.

5. Cancellation by RUEMA

RUEMA reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any event at its discretion due to operational needs, safety concerns, force majeure, or other valid reasons. In such cases, a full refund of all amounts paid (including the deposit) will be issued to the client within 14 business days, or an alternative date will be offered.

6. Force Majeure

In the event of circumstances beyond our reasonable control — including but not limited to natural disasters, government-imposed restrictions, pandemics, or acts of God — RUEMA may cancel or postpone the event without penalty. In such cases, we will offer a full credit or reschedule at no additional cost. Cash refunds in force majeure situations are at RUEMA's discretion.

7. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days from the date of approval. Refunds will be returned via the original payment method (bank transfer, credit card via Razorpay, or cash). RUEMA is not responsible for delays caused by banking institutions or payment processors.

To request a cancellation or rescheduling, please contact us via WhatsApp with your booking reference. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.
